The commencement of the city's first and much anticipated world-class shopping and recreational centre witnessed a terrific patronage by hundreds of people from all walks of life as they surged the Kumasi City Mall (KCM) not necessarily to purchase products but to be part of history as the first people to have gained access to the $95 million structure at the commissioning Thursday morning

The US$ 95 million Kumasi City Mall (already nicknamed ‘KCM’ by students at KNUST), is located at Asokwa, on the confluence of Lake Road, Yaa Asantewa Road and Hudson Street and sits on a total land area of 15.4 acres with a letable space of 18,500 square metres and potential for further expansion of up to 10,000 square metres.

KCM is a development owned by Delico Kumasi Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of Delico Property Investments Ghana Limited, the same group which owns the Achimota Retail Centre and is the majority shareholder of West Hills Mall.

The maiden shopping mall in the nation's second largest city  covers all kinds of shopping items and entertainment.

For now, Game, one of the tenants of the mall appears to be in massive operation to be followed by Shoprite on Thursday, April 27, 2017.

Despite the finishing touches being put up by the rest of the tenants including MTN and other banking Institutions, patrons who were present were thrilled to diverse entertainment programmes such as Live band performances, photoshoot with celebrities like Kwaku Manu and other seasoned radio personalities in the metropolis, and several other activities.

Mr. Kofi Sekyere, Chairman of the Board of KCM told the press that he's optimistic with regards to offering an amazeballs shopping experience to Asanteman, and benefiting the nation's economy entirely.
